A few more notes about this show: The Huggy Bear song is one of my favorites from high school. I first heard it on a mix tape a friend gave me right around the time I got my driver’s license. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs song is one that I used to play in my sets in the early 2000s at a Wednesday night party I used to throw in West Hollywood called Transmission. A pretty good amount of the music in here is stuff I haven’t gotten around to playing in my club sets yet, like the “Fenian” from Kneecap, which came out just a few days before I recorded this, and “Yes GODDD” by Slayyyter and “A Death in London” by Ladytron. (I’ve been playing other songs from Slayyyter and Ladytron‘s new albums in my recent sets.) And I totally misspoke at the end of the mix. Luxxury has two Xs, not three. Someone needs to get her eyes checked.
