I have three DJ gigs coming up this weekend. Thursday, July 17, is the premiere party for Olya Sonica’s new single “You Only Live Forever (YOLF)” at Hotel Ziggy. Friday, July 18, is Club Underground’s Pulp Party at Grand Star Jazz Club and Sunday, July 20, is Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Sunday Sessions. Keep reading for details for all three gigs. On Thursday, July 17, Olya Sonica is premiering her new single, “You Only Live Forever (YOLF)” with a Brit Pop Bang Summer Party at Hotel Ziggy in West Hollywood. Olya Sonica will play live and there will be an all-star house band with guest singers singing Brit Pop classics. I’ll be on the decks dropping heaters from Oasis, Blur, Suede and more. Doors are at 7 p.m. and tickets are available on Eventbrite. Hotel Ziggy is at 8462 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, 90069.
KCRW and Club Underground present Pulp Party on Friday, July 18, celebrating the release of the band’s new album, More. Both floors of the Grand Star Jazz Club will be open with Larry G., Yutaro and I in the DJ booth. There will be giveaways too, so, if you’re a Pulp fan, don’t miss out on this. July 20 is Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Sunday Sessions and I’m excited to DJ alongside Clifton Weaver and Loopdropkid for this special, free event celebrating the roots of house music. We’ll be playing soul, funk, disco and more in the middle of the park throughout the afternoon and into the evening. It’s all ages and Metro-adjacent, so do join us.
